KS2 Outcomes – A Celebration of One Learning Community
We are incredibly proud to share our latest Key Stage 2 results, which reflect the hard work, resilience, and ambition of our pupils and staff. For the third year running, our outcomes in Reading, Writing, and Maths remain significantly above national averages.
These results are a testament to our inclusive, high-quality teaching, the strong partnerships we build with families, and the exceptional dedication of our staff, who go above and beyond to ensure every child makes excellent progress.
We are committed to ensuring every child thrives and leaves us ready for the next stage of their learning journey—confident, capable, and full of potential.

EYFS to Phonics Progress – What It Means for Our Pupils
At Wallscourt Farm Academy, we closely track how children progress from the Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception) into Key Stage 1 (Year 1). One key measure of this journey is how well pupils move from achieving a Good Level of Development (GLD) to meeting the expected standard in the Phonics Screening Check (PSC).
Here’s what we’ve seen over the past three cohorts:
Cohort 2022
→ 80% of pupils achieved GLD in Reception
→ 90% met the expected standard in phonics the following year
This cohort made strong gains in early reading, showing how well our provision supports literacy development from the start.
Cohort 2023
→ 69% achieved GLD
→ 85% met the phonics standard in Year 1
Despite a lower starting point, this cohort made excellent progress, reflecting the impact of targeted teaching and early intervention.
Cohort 2024
→ 72% achieved GLD
→ 85% met the phonics standard
This cohort sustained high performance, demonstrating consistency in our early years and KS1 teaching.
These outcomes show that our pupils not only start strong but continue to thrive as they move through their early learning journey. They also highlight the effectiveness of our curriculum, the skill of our staff, and the strength of our support systems.

MTC Progress Headlines
Over the past four years, our pupils have shown clear and consistent improvement in their multiplication fluency. The average score (out of 25) has risen from 19.8 in 2022 to 22.7 in 2025, reflecting the impact of our focused approach to number fluency and arithmetic. This upward trend demonstrates how well our pupils are mastering core maths skills by the end of Year 4, consistently performing above both national and trust averages.
