Mysterious visitor sparks curiosity and learning at Wallscourt

Learners at Wallscourt Farm Academy were surprised this week when they discovered that a mysterious visitor had left a huge mess in their learning zone.
Using their 21st century learning skills such as curiosity, imagination, and collaboration, the children worked together to investigate who might have caused the chaos. Many learners thought it could have been ‘The Greatest Giant in Town’ after spotting a large footprint in the porridge oats.
To solve the mystery, the learners searched around the learning zone, finding hidden words that offered clues including ‘oats’, ‘chair’, ‘bed’, and ‘spoon’.
After gathering all the evidence, they concluded that the unexpected visitor was none other than Goldilocks herself.
This exciting discovery launched the learners into their new enquiry question: “What is a traditional tale?”
Ellie Todd, Class Teacher at Wallscourt Farm Academy, said: “It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and imaginative.
“The mystery really encouraged them to think critically, work as a team, and make connections to stories they already know.
“It’s a fantastic way to introduce our new topic on traditional tales.”
