Wallscourt pupils become investigative scientists and geographers

Pupils at Wallscourt Farm Academy have been stepping into the shoes of scientists and geographers, exploring the question: “What do animals do who we share our environment with?”
Immersing themselves in the natural world, the learners spent time observing the rich variety of micro-habitats in the school garden.
They carefully studied the animals and plants they discovered, sketching their observations and building a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of living things.
Jo Hewitt, Class Teacher at Wallscourt Farm Academy, said: “It has been wonderful to see the children’s curiosity come alive as they explored their own environment.
“Through first-hand investigation, they developed not only their scientific and geographical skills but also a real sense of care and respect for the world around them.”
