Wallscourt pupils strengthen Maths skills

Pupils at Wallscourt Farm Academy have been consolidating the mathematician skills they have learnt so far in Year 1. They have been practising backwards counting starting from different numbers.
The learners used chalk to draw their own number line and then worked in trios to choose a number to start from and count backwards.
Ellie Todd, teacher at Wallscourt Farm Academy, said: “It’s wonderful to see pupils actively engaging with numbers in such a hands-on way.
Activities like this make learning fun while reinforcing important counting skills.”
